Holy Mastadon Bones.Batman!

We had a fantastic day tourimg the sites and wonders of Hemet. Brunch at Steve's and the HUGEST Pastrami Sandwich I have ever seen. I could barley eat half. Fantabulous!

Then off to the Western Science Center. A wonderful display of historical items found while building a recent reservoir know as Diamond Lake. They found the largest Mastadon bones in the West here which the boys were in awe of. They got to do hands on activities which included making a fossil to take home. Then their was a display of Keva blocks that left all the boys - even the Hubby - occupied for an hour. It was so cool.

Then we drove along the hillside and found a refuge center with ground squirrels, sheep, zebras, and my very favorite - Bison. We saw one right at the fence line that let us come right up to him. AWESOME!

We topped of the evening with adult beverages in Grandpa John's jacuzzi. It was just the perfect end to an amazing visit with my truly wonderful in-laws!

Over the River and Through the Woods

Well, we arrived safely in Hemet and after am very brief round of hello hugs the Oler Grandparents, they brought us to our home for the next 16 days.

Hemet is about 95% retired folks and they have 2 friends that were widowed, now they are married and have moved in to her home, so his is empty. They have family that visits often, so they have kept it as guest quarters. They generously have given it to us while we visit, and it is WONDERFUL!

Anyways, by the time I got everyone in bed and got myself settled, it was 4:15am Georgia time. Needless to say, it was very easy to fall asleep. I am so greatful that we all made it here safe and sound.

Hurry Up and Wait.

Anybody of you that have worked with my husband will appreciate this. He is incredible obsessed with being on time for certain things, especially when traveling. For instance, we arrived at the airport hours early. While this works for grown ups, the 2 of our 3 boys that are ADHD have a little trouble with it. And now we will ask them to sit in a plane for 4+ hours.

I'm not complaining though. He has gotten us to the airport on time and for that I am deeply greatful. We are a great team. He truly is my soul mate.

See ya soon Cali.

And They're Off

The big day has arrived. California here we come. We are all in a frenzy as we load up the van and get belted in for the ride to airport parking. I'm on edge as I dislike flying very VERY much, but I have to hold it together because neither Johnny or Jimmy have flown before and they are truly scared at the daunting thought of hanging in mid air in a huge mega ton metal object.

We will conquer it together boys. Let's hit it!
